SkyLine is a high-throughput pipeline for homology modeling of protein structures. This approach operates on the principle that specific amino acid sequences produce specific protein structures, and so finding similarities in sequence to proteins with known structures makes it possible to predict structures in proteins with unknown structures. Results are returned on demand from the server into the browser window in geWorkbench. The results are available within geWorkbench for as long as they are preserved on the server, which should be at least 30 days. See also SkyBase and MarkUs.
