Ashton Curry-Hyde
During the postgraduate studies Ashton trained as a bioinformatician analysing NGS/TGS datasets to explore RNA networks in neurological diseases and cancers. In the penultimate year of her PhD, Ashton began working in industry, investigating RNA variants in ALS. In her current postdoctoral research at Zaccara Lab, Ashton integrates wet-lab and dry-lab techniques, leveraging the end-to-end experience with ONT direct RNA sequencing, to investigate RNA regulation and degradation mechanisms in hematopoietic malignancies using hiPSCs.
