Staff Associate

Claudia Capdevila is a staff associate in the Califano lab. She joined the group for a research internship in September 2016 as a biomedical scientist, and is expected to start her graduate studies in the Department of Systems Biology in 2017. Claudia’s main expertise is in molecular biology and genome engineering, which she will try to apply to gain better understanding of the determinants of tumor cell maintenance, plasticity, and reprogramming.

Prior to joining the lab, Claudia did a three month internship in the Stem Cell Biology and Developmental Genetics Division at the MRC NIMR (London, UK) and worked for one year as a research associate in the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG, Barcelona, Spain), under the co-mentorship of Dr. Santiago Ramon y Cajal and Dr. Luis Serrano.
