Graduate Research Assistant (DSB)

Julia is a graduate student in Tal Korem’s lab, where she studies microbial determinants of pelvic pain and adverse pregnancy outcomes. She also develops methods for the detection and characterization of somatic mutations in humans.

Julia graduated from William & Mary in 2020 with a B.S. in Computational & Applied Mathematics & Statistics. As a member of William & Mary’s 2018, 2019, and 2020 iGEM (international Genetically Engineered Machine) teams, she researched Engineered Living Materials (ELM’s), including engineered probiotics.
