Mikko completed his PhD in 2017 at the University of Helsinki, Finland, where he studied cancer genomics under the supervision of Professor Jussi Taipale. After his thesis mid-2018, he became a Postdoctoral Researcher in Andrea Califano's lab Columbia University.
