Ioan Filip is a postdoctoral research scientist in the Department of Biomedical Informatics. He received his PhD in mathematics from Columbia University in 2016. As a member of the Rabadan Lab, Ioan is currently studying the genetic basis the immune response to viral infections and he is interested in further developing algebraic and topological methods to model evolution.
