Jiayu Su is a PhD student in Systems Biology at Columbia University co-mentored by Raul Rabadan and David Knowles. He is interested in the functional impact and regulation of alternative splicing in cancer and is always enthusiastic to develop new computational tools for genomic applications. Prior to Columbia, Jiayu earned his Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Mathematics from Peking University in 2020, where he explored statistical methods for single-cell genomics and multi-omics. Outside of the lab, he is a history buff and enjoys museums, landmarks, and stories around the world.
