Jian Ma, PhD, is associate professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University, with faculty appointments in the Departments of Computational Biology and Machine Learning. The main focus of his lab is to develop algorithms to better understand the organization and function of the human genome and the molecular mechanisms of human disease. Dr. Ma will deliver the lecture, "Probing the Nuclear Organization via Machine Learning" as part of the Department of Systems Biology Distinguished Guest Speaker Seminar Series.
